What is spiritual cleansing? Spiritual cleansing is a detoxification of the body and a renewal of the Spirit and Soul. Different cultures have diverse methods. West of the Mississippi Native Americans often use an Inipi (sweat lodge) for a deep spiritual cleansing, while using seven herbs of smoke to bathe their energy field. This is not a marijuana mixture. These seven herbs are a balance of female and male energies, harvested in a sacred manner, and stored in sacred containers. This smoke often burnt in a wooden bowl, turtle shell, and in recent times an abalone shell is swept through the aura with holy feathers.
Celtics were known for their use of a ‘Mother Lodge,’ much like the West of the Mississippi Native American who would seek Spiritual Cleansing by use of an Inipi. The ‘Mother Lodge’ is a small cave within the side of a hill. It is very cool and dark inside.
The Catholics burn frankincense as their holy incense. This is their form of spiritual cleansing ‘smoke,’ along with lighting candles and holy water used to prepare the church before daily prayers. If Protestants have a system to prepare themselves for prayer, I am not familiar with their Spiritual Cleansing. Both, Catholics and Protestants use the baptism as their once in a life time spiritual cleanse. Buddhist, Jews, and various other religious groups have their own beliefs and practices.
I suggest for spiritual cleansing is to use Dead Sea Salt or Epsom Salt as a scrub in the shower or preferably to use at least ¾ cup and not more than 1 cup of preferred salt in a warm (not hot) bath. Soak for 20 minutes.
The Salt used with meditation in the theta brain wave state, along with drinking a detox tea or taking an herbal remedy for the body to detox.
Dead Sea Salt removes toxins while replenishing a select few trace minerals. Epsom Salt removes toxins.
My Métis traditions teach we use the herb most abundant around us for a spring detox. This is usually the ‘Dandelion’. With the wide spread use of kinesiology or muscle testing, we can ask our body which detox herb or combination of herbs would be best for us as an individual. If you choose a combination of herbs, I suggest you check each individual herb as to whether you need it or not. If your body does not need it singularly, check if you need it in the combination. If you do not need it, it is always suggested to leave it out of the combination.
1. Extract all Entities
2. Remove, neutralize all detrimental energies
3. Salt bath (either Dead Sea Salt or Epsom Salt)
4. Detox tea or Herb usually 21 days (check to make sure you need it
this long or longer)
5. Always, check your medical prescriptions and their reactions with
the detox tea and or herbs.
